Taniya is a former actress, author, and speaker from New York, who was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, more commonly known as "Brittle Bone Disease", a rare genetic condition that causes extreme bone fragility, among other other medical complications. She has broken over 100 bones, and survived two strokes.
She has her BFA in theatre Arts with a concentration acting. She released her autobiography Perfectly Broken: My Life with Brittle Bone Disease, and Finding Peace in the Pieces. She aims to empower people to embrace their "broken" parts, because strength is found in the moments you feel most broken.
